What is Henna ?

Henna is  small flowering shrub known as Lawsonia Inermis. its known for its natural dying properties , the leaves of the plant are dried and grounded . Then blended with natural ingredients to create a paste . The stain lasts up to 10- 14 day depending on where it is applied. Darker stains require longer hours of letting the paste sit on the skin and then followed by good aftercare.

What is Black Henna ?

There is no such henna as Black henna . If you come across black henna that's probably hair dye loaded with PPD , a harmful chemical which scars and damages the skin . We strictly discourage the use of such products.

What is INKredible ?

Its an ORGANIC fruit juice extracted from Genipa Americana (known as Jagua) is a fruit that grows in South America. It has been used for thousands of years to decorate the body in traditional tribal patterns by Amazon Natives. Jagua produces a dark blue/black stain, NATURALLY! It is NOT to be confused with “black henna”. A professional henna artist will never mix up the two. On average, jagua lasts for 1-3 weeks depending on where it is applied on the body and how well aftercare is followed.

Where can Henna be applied ?

Henna can be applied anywhere in the body , from palms , soles , head crowns and blessing bellies. The thicker the skin darker the stain and lasts longer. Neck , chest , belly , the skin is much thinner and the stain is much light and doesn't last long.

What is Aftercare ?

Aftercare is the process of caution taken after the henna application to ensure dark stain . Natural Henna doesn't stain instantly into a dark shade. It should be left minimum of 6 hrs for it to stain the skin . 
Aftercare includes applying sealant over dried henna , not washing the henna for removal rather scraping it off with the help of oil. Also avoiding contact with water for the first 12 hrs . Using Aftercare balms

Will I have Allergy Reactions to Natural Henna or Jagua ?

Some people do develop allergy reactions if they are allergic to naturally occurring food substance . There might be irritations if you have citrus allergy . In the use of Jagua there might be reactions if you are allergic to berries. 
Reactions to henna or jagua can develop with practices such as immediately exfoliating the area prior or after the application . TAKE PRECAUTIONS and Inform the Artist about your Allergies before you proceed .
